Malaysian icon Zainalabidin has confirmed his final concert will be in Singapore, mainly because he’s tired of Malaysians constantly asking for "guest list" spots.

The 66-year-old legend noted that while he loves his homeland, the Singapore dollar is the only thing capable of making his bank account truly "Hijau."

“In KL, everyone want free pass then still complain why no free parking,” whispered one cynical roadie.

“Sinkies very good, they pay $150 to sit in air-con and nod their heads like they actually understand worldbeat rhythms.”

The Esplanade show marks 50 years of Zainalabidin’s career, finally allowing him to retire in a country where the currency isn't currently a national tragedy.
