A junior mortgage officer has been sentenced to prison for demonstrating the kind of proactive customer service usually reserved for employees gunning for a year-end bonus.

The employee allegedly mistook a WhatsApp message from a "Captain Lu" for a legitimate government directive, promptly handing over the private details of 1,000 customers to ensure the "police" had enough leads for their busy scam season.

"Steady lah, if she work for me also fast like that, I sure happy one," remarked a local uncle. "But give bank data to random person on WhatsApp? I think her brain go holiday liao."

Authorities confirmed that while her data-entry skills were exemplary, the bank generally prefers employees to keep customer secrets strictly between themselves and the next inevitable system hack.
