Singapore Unveils Bus Stop Benches Specifically Designed to Prohibit Sitting
The Land Transport Authority has unveiled its latest "ergonomic" bus stop seating, featuring a 75-degree incline and a surface coated in industrial-grade Teflon.
The design ensures that any commuter attempting to rest for more than three seconds will slide gracefully into the oncoming path of a Service 190 bus.
"We want to encourage a 'keep moving' mindset by making the act of sitting physically impossible," remarked an LTA spokesperson while vibrating with bureaucratic efficiency.
Local commuter, Tan Ah Kow, was seen clinging to a metal divider like a traumatised koala.
"Wah lau, this one not seat leh, is like Ninja Warrior obstacle course," he complained while sliding towards the gutter.
Future iterations will reportedly include retractable spikes to ensure no one mistakes public infrastructure for actual comfort.
