The local kink community claims that being physically restrained mimics the comforting embrace of a repressive legal system.

"Wah lao, at first I thought very painful, but then I realise it just feel like peak hour on North-South Line," said local enthusiast, Tan Ah Kow.

Experts suggest that the thrill of being gagged is the only way for citizens to stop complaining about the rising cost of living for five minutes.
