Rat Dragging Glue Traps Shows More Hustle Than Average Sinkie
Residents of Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 were treated to a free CrossFit demonstration this week after a giant, steroid-abusing rat was spotted dragging two glue traps like they were weighted sleds.
The rodent, which was reportedly the size of a small domestic cat or a very malnourished TikTok influencer, showed more drive than most civil servants by refusing to let industrial-strength adhesive ruin its evening.
Witnesses initially mistook the creature for an anaconda, likely because any living thing with that much girth in a heartland garden is usually a snake or a Member of Parliament.
The Ang Mo Kio Town Council confirmed the incident was part of a βscheduled operation,β which is government-speak for standing around with clipboards while a vermin does parkour.
NEA officials were also present to ensure the rat followed the Code of Practice, which apparently involves making sure the pest pays its GST before dying in a drain.
βLanjiao, the rat was dragging the boards like he just bought new sneakers from Decathlon,β said one resident who filmed the escape instead of actually helping the pest control guys.
The rat eventually managed to scurry into the undergrowth, proving that if you try hard enough, you can escape your problems even if they are literally stuck to your furry balls.
Authorities have reminded residents not to throw food waste away, as the last thing Singapore needs is a rat population that can bench press a whole HDB block.
