Rafizi Ramli has launched Parti Bersama Malaysia, a political group so doomed it makes the Singapore Democratic Party look like a functional government.

Adopting a mousedeer logo, Rafizi described his departure from the ruling coalition as a "kamikaze" mission, a term most Singaporeans only use when raw-dogging a public toilet seat in Johor Bahru.

Leaving a high-paying cabinet position to lead a fringe party with the shelf life of unrefrigerated seafood is a bold move.

It is the political equivalent of quitting a banking job to sell artisanal rocks in Yishun.

Analysts expect the party to disappear quicker than a monthly paycheque during a massive sale.

While Rafizi prepares for his glorious defeat, Singaporeans remain unimpressed.

"Launching a new party to fix the economy is like buying a new vibrator to fix a dead marriage," said one local observer.

"You’re just making a lot of noise while everything remains fundamentally fucked."
