Local Recruit Prefers DB Solitary Confinement Over Encik’s Dog-Water Personality
The Singapore Armed Forces is reportedly reconsidering its disciplinary measures after a local recruit described his stint in solitary confinement as "the most peaceful fortnight of his miserable life."
Recruit Tan, who was sent to the Detention Barracks (DB) for allegedly trying to "chao keng" his way out of a route march, claims the isolation is a welcome break from his platoon's collective brain rot.
The DB, traditionally a place of profound misery, has inadvertently become a sanctuary for soldiers who would rather rot in a cell than listen to another motivational speech from a wayang Captain.
"Wah lao, inside the cell damn shiok, no need see Sergeant’s cb face every morning," Tan remarked while being escorted to his cage.
"No knock it 20, no stand by bed, and no one asking me to sign on for a career of sucking thumb."
Military brass are horrified that the threat of the DB has lost its sting, as recruits now view the grey walls as a luxury compared to the humid hell of Tekong.
"Outside very sian one, always kena tekan for nothing," Tan added.
"In here, I am the king of my own small kingdom, even if I have to poop in a bucket."
