JB Restaurant Successfully Implements Mandatory ‘Singaporean Idiot’ Surcharge
A legendary Johor Bahru restaurant has been nominated for a Nobel Prize in Economics after successfully charging a Singaporean RM48 for a single plate of rice and one very overpriced squid.
The victim, Alan, was reportedly traumatized to discover that the exchange rate doesn't actually protect you from being a complete "sotong" in real life.
The shop owner confirmed that the RM36 squid surcharge is a mandatory "Pink IC Tax" applied to any tourist who spends more time calculating currency than actually having a personality.
"If you're rich enough to waste four hours at the Causeway just to save five dollars, you're rich enough to pay for my new Mercedes," the owner remarked while laughing at Alan’s tears.
The squid has since been promoted to a higher social status than most Singaporean junior executives.
This satire is based on a real news story.
