Desperate Sinkie Pays $4,000 Deposit For Flat That Doesn’t Exist
The Singapore property market has achieved peak efficiency as Facebook scammers now bypass the physical construction phase entirely to save time.
Local hunters are reportedly queuing to transfer thousands to Facebook profiles featuring stock photos of K-pop idols and usernames like “Property King 88”.
“The photo show the Bishan room got gold tap and private lift, so I transfer immediate loh,” said victim Tan Ah Kow, who wired money to a man claiming to be the Sultan of Yishun.
“The agent say very hot property, must pay now or else lose out, then now he block me on WhatsApp, damn suay sia,” Tan added.
Authorities suggest that if a deal seems too good to be true, it is simply a visionary redistribution of wealth from the gullible to the industrious.
One scammer noted that the Singaporean obsession with "good deals" makes his job easier than stealing candy from a very stupid baby.
